Millennium Fellowship Project: Nisikie Global

The Nisikie project is for the burdened in society. Nisikie is a kiswahili word, the verb here being 'Sikia', which means to hear.Sothe word nisikie can mean two things. 1. Hear me, ie. Hear me as I speak 2. Let me hear ie speak and let me hear. So,basically, the NISIKIE project will allow people to be heard and hear others at the same time. So how will these happen? NISIKIE project will typically involves telling stories on times in our lives when we were very broken, what we did that we regret, how we made it out and the lessons we learnt;so that we can be heard and others can hear us. The phases of the project include: 1. Creation of social media platforms(instagram, tiktok, youtube)and publicity of the project 2. . Tackling topics. Here we get to tackle different topics or address different categories of burdens in the society during which people get to send their experiences of the same.We will also address ways to tacke such burdens. For this,we hope to liaise with an expert ie Psychiatrist. 3. Raising funds for.us to give back to the community, even as we carry on with tackling different topics.
