" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it connects my local work in rural Kenya to a global network of young leaders, proving that when we share ideas across borders, we can turn small solutions into lasting change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Makueni to Tomorrow
The goal of this initiative focuses on teaching youth how to solve actual issues beginning with the water contamination problem. Our organization teaches people to design basic rainwater collection systems built from budget-friendly materials and implements a training program. We demonstrate youth how their ideas can evolve into business ventures which helps them serve their communities while making profits simultaneously. The initial phase of my project started with generating designs through Revit software before performing tests in actual residences. The team strives toward system advancement while expanding their reach to schools and encouraging upcoming generations to construct, mend and make money through transformative actions.
