University of Nairobi Parklands Campus | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 13, SDG 4 & UNAI 9

" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a powerful platform learn how to amplify my commitment to climate justice and human rights, from project management to design thinking. I do this work because I believe every community deserves to thrive in a world that is both equitable and sustainable. Phil Harding, a British field archaeologist, said - "Without environmental sustainability, economic stability and social cohesion cannot be achieved.” The Fellowship connects me with like-minded change makers and equips me to turn bold ideas into lasting impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Pamoja for Planet
Pamoja for Planet is a youth-driven initiative focused on addressing the urgent challenges of climate change through community awareness, education, and action. Our project aims to empower individuals — especially young people — to understand that climate change is not a distant issue, but one that begins with our everyday choices and actions.
We work to create a platform where communities can learn, engage, and collaborate in protecting the environment. Through outreach programs, educational campaigns, and tree-planting activities, we seek to inspire responsibility toward sustainable living and environmental conservation.
At its core, Pamoja for Planet believes in the power of collective effort — that when people come together (“pamoja”), meaningful change for the planet is possible.
