University of the People | Global, United States | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 3

" Through my project, Empowering Equal Learning Opportunities, I have guided over 80 marginalized individuals to secure full scholarships at the University of the People. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it will strengthen my leadership, expand my reach, and help me align my work with SDG 4 to ensure quality education for all. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Equal Learning Opportunities
I have embarked on my project to empower refugees and the less privileged in my community since 2023, after my friend Udeh Christopher introduced me to the first online tuition-free university (University of the People). At first, I did not believe it could be entirely tuition-free until I applied for and received an application fee grant. That opportunity allowed me to pursue a higher degree at a US-accredited school at no cost. Since 2024, I have guided refugees, displaced persons, and the less privileged through the steps involved in applying for and securing full scholarships. So far, I have helped over 80 people access higher education and have also explored other opportunities like Ortago.
