University of the People | Global, United States | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 3

" Having once been a refugee with limited access to education, I know the life changing power of opportunity. Through my project, Empowering Equal Learning Opportunities, I have guided over 80 marginalized individuals to secure full scholarships at the University of the People. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it will strengthen my leadership, expand my reach, and help me align my work with SDG 4 to ensure quality education for all. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Equal Learning Opportunities
I have embarked on my project to empower refugee and the less privileged in my community since 2023, after my friend Christopher introduced me to the first online tuition free university (university of the people). At first I didn't believe it could be entirely tuition free until I applied for the assessment fee grant as a refugee and got it. That was the best thing that happened to my life in 2023, having the opportunity to pursue a higher degree at US accredited school cost free. Ever since then I decided to let others like me, the refugees, displaced and the less privileged to experience this hope by guiding them through steps involved in applying and securing a full scholarship at the online university of the people, letting them know the benefits and clearing their doubts of it's credibility since 2024 till date. So far I have been able to help over 80 persons in my community secure a full scholarship grant from the university and I can remember the light of hope, joy and fulfillment on their faces their efforts to strive hard and get the best score at the university. I have also explored other opportunities like Ortago.
