" "I believe deeply in the importance of accessible and comprehensive youth civics education to the maintenance of democracy. An investment in public education is an investment in our society's future, and I look forward to utilizing my role as a Millennium Fellow to support local civic and political education initiatives in Philadelphia." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Serve Your City

Serve Your City is an initiative that I am developing with the University of Pennsylvania Netter Center for Community Partnerships, in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia. It is a 10 week program for public high school students, which provides instruction on civic participation, local politics, and public service employment opportunities with the City of Philadelphia.
