" My passion for financial literacy stems from a belief that economic knowledge empowers individuals and transforms communities. The Millennium Fellowship offers a platform to refine my leadership, collaborate with like-minded change makers, and align my efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Through this experience, I hope to create impactful, practical solutions that equip people, especially in underserved communities, with the tools to build a sustainable and prosperous future." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Cleanathon Initiative at Ela Beach

This project focused on a Cleanthon initiative held at Ela Beach, a popular sunny beach in Port Moresby. The main goal was to promote Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water) by raising awareness about marine conservation and protecting marine life. The Cleanthon was organized and led by four MCN Fellows from the UPNG 2025 Cohort. Through this initiative, participants actively collected waste, learned about the impacts of pollution on marine ecosystems, and engaged the community in environmental stewardship. The project combined practical action with advocacy to encourage long-term care for the ocean and coastal environments.
