" Commitment and determination are the two factors that brings vision into reality. This is a quote that I truly keep in my heart. Being part of Millennium Fellowship will help me to enhance and refine my social skills to be better in all soft skills that I may lack. The opportunity will be a new journey of growth and improvements. I always thrive on the basis that hard work and collaboration will always make an impact in our communities that we are in. Together with Millennium Fellowship, I believe I will meet like minded individuals and we all will work together to achieve SDGs and make our world better again. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Cleanathon Initiative at Ela Beach

This project focused on a Cleanthon initiative held at Ela Beach, a popular sunny beach in Port Moresby. The main goal was to promote Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water) by raising awareness about marine conservation and protecting marine life. The Cleanthon was organized and led by four MCN Fellows from the UPNG 2025 Cohort. Through this initiative, participants actively collected waste, learned about the impacts of pollution on marine ecosystems, and engaged the community in environmental stewardship. The project combined practical action with advocacy to encourage long-term care for the ocean and coastal environments.
