Millennium Fellowship Project: Kilimo Asilia Africa LTD
Kilimo Asilia Africa Ltd (KAA LTD) is a social enterprise committed to promoting sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship in the Suba community. Our flagship project focuses on collecting unmanaged household food waste, transforming it into high-quality organic manure using a mobile decomposition unit, and distributing it at affordable prices to maize and cassava farmers.
The project addresses multiple challenges: reducing environmental pollution, improving soil fertility, increasing crop yields, and creating income opportunities for local youth engaged in the collection and processing of organic waste. By linking waste management, sustainable farming, and community empowerment, KAA LTD fosters circular economy practices while enhancing food security and livelihoods in rural communities.
Our approach emphasizes community engagement, innovation, and sustainability, ensuring that the benefits of the project are measurable, long-lasting, and scalable across other regions facing similar challenges.
