" Passion for mental health and a commitment to community well-being inspire my work every day. As a Millennium Fellow, I am excited to collaborate with like-minded individuals and enhance my leadership skills. This opportunity will empower me to create impactful mental health initiatives that align with the UNAI principles and the Sustainable Development Goals. Together, we can foster understanding and support for mental health in our communities, paving the way for a healthier future. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: My Back

My project is called "My Back." It's all about mental health and the idea that, just like we can’t always see the issues with our backs, mental health struggles often go unnoticed. The goal of "My Back" is to raise awareness about mental health in our community and encourage people to recognize their own feelings and seek help when needed. Through this project, I plan to host events and workshops where people can learn about mental health in a friendly and approachable way. We’ll talk about common issues like anxiety and depression, share personal stories, and provide resources to help those who are struggling. I also want to create a space where individuals can express themselves without fear of judgment, just like how we don't judge someone for having back pain. By bringing people together, “My Back” will help everyone understand that it’s okay to talk about how they feel and that support is available. The whole idea is to promote self-awareness and foster a community where mental health is openly discussed and prioritized, so we can all support each other in feeling our best.
