Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Empowerment on SRHR and Mental health
Youth Empowerment on SRHR and mental health was a project mainly designed to
bridge the gap on sexual and reproductive rights among adolescents and youth
especially those from indigenous communities. It was mainly designed to give them compréhensive education about sexuality, reproduction, consent, contraception, STIs and associated mental health. among young people in Huye.
About the Millennium Fellow
Elie UWIMANIDUHAYE is a bright, committed and diligent individual keen to challenging global health equity. He was born in Rwanda in Gakenke district and he was raised there. He took high school education at École Des Sciences Byimana in Ruhango District, Rwanda. He started university studies in June 2023, in the department of Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery. Elie possess a strong background in public health issues gained through different volunteer efforts in Students organisations in the University and the past experiences in high school. He enjoys working toward drawing the community from idleness, educating the different aspects of public health, and advocating for health equity. He is an ideal future healthcare professional ready to advance healthcare system across the globe.
