Millennium Fellowship Project: Ubuzima initiative
Ubuzima Initiative – Empowering Youth Through Life Maintenance Education
Ubuzima Initiative is the community-driven public health movement that I have designed to help youth and adults with essential knowledge and practical skills for maintaining a healthy life as pharmaceutical student and social media influencer. Our mission with collaborators from Millennium Fellowship and Rwanda pharmaceutical center that study health sciences is to bridge the gap between what we study in school and how we apply it in daily life, transforming theoretical understanding into real-world action through helping community.
Through this community work, hands-on training, and interactive public health campaigns, Ubuzima Initiative promotes preventive health practices and self-care knowledge through its activity. By integrating digital outreach via my social media platform of Meta especially Instagram, Afrodance Nation with over 360K followers and 20 million monthly views, we reach and inspire a wider audience to take charge of their own health by involving message through what attracts them like afro-dance challenge.
Our vision is to build a generation that understands and values the maintenance of their life from learning simple health assessments such as BMI, etc to engaging in community-based wellness programs. Ubuzima Initiative seeks to create a culture of awareness, responsibility, and public service, proving that health is not just a medical matter but a shared community mission for maintenance pure successful life.
