Millennium Fellowship Project: Every voice should be heard
Every voice should be heard is a project under the theme of justice, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by citizens who are trapped in dilemmas due to lack of awareness about their rights or unclear access to proper channels for addressing issues. The project serves people of all ages, particularly in underdeveloped rural areas. It began in my local community, where many residents were unaware of their legal rights. Through community talks, including during the “Umuganda” program where citizens gather for county-wide cleaning, and visits to secondary schools to educate youth, the project raises awareness about rights and justice. These activities have contributed to the success of the project, and there are plans to establish an institution dedicated to promoting justice. The community’s enthusiastic acceptance of the initiative has been a key factor in its progress.
