United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Promote Mental Health and Awareness

This project Promote Mental Health and Awareness,
seeks to address these barriers by creating a safe and inclusive space where young people can learn about, discuss, and receive support for mental health concerns. The initiative will empower youth to understand the importance of mental wellbeing, eliminate stigma, and promote community based mental health solutions

About the Millennium Fellow

Akariza Liliane is a Rwandan student at the University of Rwanda with a strong passion for social justice, human rights, and mental health awareness. Inspired by the belief that every person deserves dignity and equal opportunity, she actively seeks opportunities to learn, lead, and serve. Through leadership, intercultural, and digital skills programs, she has gained tools to address pressing community challenges. Liliane envisions a future where her skills in accounting, advocacy, and collaboration contribute to building inclusive communities that uplift vulnerable voices and foster lasting social change .
