Millennium Fellowship Project: SMART and PROUD
SMART AND PROUD is a local solution to the problem of school drop out of children in Huye district and orphaned /abandoned. Poverty, conflict at home and many more reasons keep kids down the campus begging rather than at school. The initiative aims to mainstream these students back into the education system, help them develop their talent and give them skills in leadership, personal growth and digital literacy. By working with local schools, government and youth volunteers, the project seeks to create a route out of this condition for these children. The long-term vision is to transform once-marginalized children into confident, educated, and proud young leaders who can contribute positively to their communities.
