" believe in the power of young leaders to shape a just and sustainable future. The Millennium Fellowship offers a platform to amplify my impact, connect with change makers, and turn bold ideas into transformative action "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Justice Awareness
Our project, Justice Awareness, is a youth-driven initiative that seeks to empower young people with knowledge of law, policy, and justice systems so they can become active change makers in their communities.
The project builds on an earlier initiative that explored how legal frameworks can advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through that foundation, we worked on:
- Raising awareness of how law and policy influence sustainable development.
- Encouraging youth participation in justice and decision-making spaces.
- Promoting innovation and collaboration as tools to strengthen access to justice.
Now, through our merger, Justice Awareness takes this vision further by ensuring that young people are not only aware of their rights and responsibilities but also equipped to take action for fairness, equality, and sustainability.
We believe that when youth understand the power of justice, they can drive transformative change toward a more equitable future.
About the Millennium Fellow
I was born and raised in Rwanda, a nation whose history and resilience have inspired my dedication to service and justice. Growing up, I saw how dialogue, leadership, and collective action can transform communities. Now a law student, I focus on using legal innovation to advance sustainable development. As founder of the Sustainable Development Law Association, I lead youth initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I aim to amplify these efforts and contribute to a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
