" I am deeply passionate about making science and healthcare accessible to everyone. I believe that with the right mentorship, resources, and opportunities, young people can drive innovations that change lives. I am where I am today because mentors and communities believed in me, supported my curiosity, and encouraged my dreams. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I want to be that source of belief and opportunity for others, empowering them to turn their ideas into impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Blue Haven Project

The Blue Haven Project is dedicated to restoring marine habitats threatened by pollution, climate change, and human activity. The initiative focuses on rebuilding ecosystems, protecting vulnerable species, and raising community awareness about the urgent challenges facing oceans. Through advocacy and hands-on restoration work, the project empowers others to take action for marine conservation.
In partnership with the USF Oyster Restoration Project, The Blue Haven Project supports the creation and installation of innovative 3D-printed oyster reef structures designed to strengthen coastal ecosystems. These structures provide essential habitat for oysters and other marine species, contributing to improved water quality.
As project lead, I contribute to both fieldwork and advocacy. My responsibilities include assisting with the construction and deployment of reef modules, coordinating community engagement, and supporting grant writing and fundraising to sustain and expand the project’s impact.
