United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Future Leaders Project

The Future Leaders Project at Good Samaritan Children’s Home focuses on empowering children through mentorship, skills-building, and supportive developmental activities that promote confidence, resilience, and long-term personal growth.
During the Millennium Fellowship, our project supported the children at Good Samaritan Children’s Home through mentorship and interactive sessions aimed at building confidence, communication, and leadership skills. We successfully engaged the children and created a safe space for learning and self-expression, meeting our immediate goal of establishing rapport and starting leadership development.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jose Agostinho Bernardo is a bright, young, and globally competitive student at United States International University Africa. He was born in Beira, Mozambique, and has a strong love for his country. Is currently in Nairobi, Kenya. He is someone who had the opportunity to visit different parts of the world through a short-term exchange program such as Global Ugrad, which gave him the opportunity to study for one semester a nanodegree in the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering program at Utah Tech University, in St. George. Jose from begin started developed his passion to serve the community when he was volunteer for diversity service to deliver good in the community, and the education is where catch his attention and he is a passionate with promotion of education and the quality of it to the youth and make sure that everybody is getting education, and is where he is working towards more changes in young empowerment through education.
