" Giving back is at the heart of what I do. I am motivated by the fact that my actions empower people to self-actualize in a secure way. Mental health plays a critical role in our wellbeing, performance, innovation, etc and it should therefore not be limited to specific people. I hope that the Millennium Fellow will guide me in my social impact to ensure that more lives are changed for the better using holistic approaches. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mindful Sips
Mindful Sips is a multifaceted community based project based in Nairobi, Kenya which aims to cause disruptive change in the areas of mental health, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mpowerment. This is being done through conventional mental health conversations, mental health fairs, financial advising, platforms that empower apprenticeship learning/ skill exchange thus enhancing entrepreneurial ventures. Since August we've majorly collected data and had conversations on two main topics; How social conditioning promotes Gender Based Violence in Kenya and How Strategic emotional intelligence when communicating is the key to intergenerational conflict resolution in organizational spaces.
