" "Aspiration and determination, propelled by a call for action to ricochet a subliminal chain of positive change fuel my drive. My passion for “equality” and equitable access for women (from urban and rural regions) in fields that have an archaic tendency to discriminate against them with the common goal of changing lives' for the better whilst contributing as an agent of forementioned change serves as motivation and inspiration. Being a Millennium Fellow, I will be able to leverage the skills and translating them into pragmatic impact whilst aligning my actions with the SDGs. I am looking forward to interacting with like minded individuals to further imbibe creativity and co-creation. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Femtor

Women's skill-building and career development network- made of women, for women and by women. It will give women from various socio-economic backgrounds equal, pragmatic resources to excel in their professional life including access to alumni and women working in the desired professional role or industry as your "femtor (female mentor)". The differentiating and exclusive features of my project are the virtual walkthrough - breakdown of a day in the professional life of the femtor of your field, bi-monthly coffee chats with the femtor and access to the "career police - an exclusive app that has anonymous reviews by currently employed women working in your desired field to preemptively inform you of the work culture, job transfers processes, prevent exploitation, workplace harassment, gender discrimination and paint you an honest picture of your potential worklife." Femtor will also have a newsletter that will include all upcoming skill- building workshops or events organized for the community. Lastly, interview preparation (including resume building and cover letter preparation)and vocational training for jobs such as nail artists, hair dresser etc. will be provided by connecting you to existing employers at the local level also. Therefore, Femtor is the most multi-functional community for welfare of women.
