UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT LICIA CHERF, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2025.
University of Amsterdam | Amsterdam, Netherlands | Advancing SDG 10, SDG 4 & UNAI 7

" Growing up, I've seen how some people are overlooked simply because of where they come from or what they have. One day, I have been told that the only thing differentiating someone like me from a poor refugee kid is luck; that truly resonated with me, and since then, I cannot stop thinking about that. Thus, I care a lot about fairness and giving people a voice. The Millennium Fellowship feels like a space where I can work with others who share that belief. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: New Horizons
The New Horizons Program is an initiative created to help immigrant children in Amsterdam adjust to their new surroundings. Our main goals are to promote a feeling of belonging and offer inclusive education. We hope to assist young kids in comprehending their rights, obligations, and the social systems they will encounter through engaging civil education exercises.
