" "I am passionate about helping the less privileged. I believe that we are all equals and we should treat each other with love and always help one another. I want to help those who can not help themselves and make a positive change at my University and in my country. Being here means that there are those who believed in me even when l questioned myself and this gives me strength to continue doing what l do." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: We Are Equals: Breaking the Silence
We Are Equals is an initiative that focuses on creating safe, supportive spaces for open conversations around issues that are often ignored, especially men's mental health and period poverty. Many boys grow up being told to hide their feelings, and many girls miss school or feel ashamed because they do not have access to menstrual products. This project brings these quiet struggles to light. Through peer led dialogues, advocacy campaigns, and partnerships with other youth initiatives, l work to raise awareness, promote emotional wellbeing and restore dignity. I also push for long term solutions, like placing sanitary pads in campus toilets and normalizing mental health support for young men. The goal is to build a community where everyone, regardless of gender, feels seen, heard and supported.
