" I am deeply passionate about eradicating poverty because I believe the word has enough resources for everyone if we manage them responsibly.I see poverty not as an inevitable condition, but as a challenge that we, as stewards of our planet and society, have the power to overcome.I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will provide me with the skills, knowledge, and network needed to address this global issue and help create a fairer world for future generations. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Manna Initiative

The Manna Initiative aims to support single mothers and child headed families struggling to make ends meet. These families often find it tough to pay for school fees, basic groceries, clothes, uniforms , among other things. The idea behind the Initiative is to create small "budget" groups, called Grace Circles, where community members can pool their resources together to assist these families . Each grace circle would consist of about four to seven members and would focus on on helping a maximum of two families with their specific needs. By keeping these groups small, special attention is paid to each family , and everything done by that group is customized to their needs . This approach ensures that families receive impactful and tailored support. As for fundraising, subscriptions would be introduced to the project team and these would in turn help in other fundraising ventures. Collaborations with universities, charities, clubs and other organizations would be done as well to get more people involved and to spread the word.
