" In the short time that I've lived, I have learned and realised the importance of acquiring new experiences even from the least likely of individuals, or the least likely of places. I have come to appreciate the knowledge that the world outside the four ends of my country and the limitations of my mind, has to offer. My excitement cannot be expressed enough through words, but through the sheer anticipation of having to interact with bright minds and unique perspectives and learn what it truly means to be a leader. I intend to look past my existing understanding of the principles of leadership, and what's a more exciting way than to do that with experienced individuals, and individuals who are on the same journey as yourself... "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Little Hands Foundation

My project involves handing out uniforms, school books, school shoes, food hampers, educational materials. I hope to acquire these materials from my previous primary schools and high schools as I know that being the very source of my current value system they will be more than happy to aid me.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lionel Munashe Chidaushe is a young, intelligent and ambitious individual with the drive to rise above and lead other leaders. As a student at the University of Zimbabwe faculty of Law, and a Zimbabwean citizen by birth, he has known what it means to live in a dysfunctional society, he has walked the arduous path of uncertainty that comes with it and he has grown to see the imperfections in systems that directly and indirectly perpetuate poverty and inequality. He strives to be better, to do better, than those that came before him. His goal is to walk that path which leaders dare not walk, to set an example that will shape the future of the Continent and to remind his people of their pride as well as the importance of humility. He seeks to further his goals, as difficult as they may seem, by giving himself exposure to the international community, and to make his goals known to everyone. His path will begin with the Millennium Fellowship program, setting the stage for something truly remarkable.
