" My passion for child psychology is rooted in a deep desire to see every child—especially those with neurological disorders—understood, included, and empowered. Being a Millennium Fellow excites me because it offers a platform to strengthen my leadership, collaborate with change-makers, and create sustainable impact that aligns with both my faith and the SDGs. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Minds, Embracing Differences

Empowering Minds, Embracing Differences is a project aimed at raising awareness about child development and neurological differences. The target audience includes parents and caregivers, teachers, youth and university students, and community members who support children. During the Millennium Fellowship, the project made meaningful progress by educating people on children’s behaviour, developmental milestones, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism and ADHD. I successfully held community conversations and engaged university students using simple educational materials. The project sought to reduce stigma and encourage patience and understanding among families with diagnosed children. Although the project achieved its mission, it was implemented on a smaller scale than planned due to time constraints, academic workload, and limited resources. Community and student engagement was a strong success, while future improvement requires partnerships with more professionals.
