" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me a platform to turn my passion for youth empowerment and quality education into real, community-driven change. I believe in collaborating with fellow undergraduates to design solutions that bridge the gap between learning and opportunity, and this fellowship gives me the tools, mentorship, and global perspective to make that vision a reality. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Scholaro

This project involves developing a website where prospective students can discover scholarship opportunities and be connected to mentors who are alumni of those scholarships. The project targets academically excelling students who are financially constrained. I managed to build a scholarship database and connected with alumni from some of these scholarships, which enabled me to create the first iteration of the website. However, the site has not yet been published due to technical debt. During this process, I received valuable advice from other fellows, especially the campus director, who held short brainstorming sessions and helped me decide to break the development into phases. Although I had hoped to launch the site and begin awareness efforts by now, building the database took longer than expected because each scholarship required manual research
