" . I have always believed that true progress begins at the grassroots level, by equipping people, especially young people with the tools and opportunities they need to shape their own futures. Growing up in Zimbabwe , I have witnessed both the challenges and the resilience of communities striving for better. The Millennium Fellowship offers a platform to not only refine my leadership skills but also to connect with like-minded individuals from around the world, exchange innovative ideas, and receive guidance from mentors who have walked this path before me. I see it as more than a fellowship—it is a chance to turn my aspirations into tangible action, ensuring that my work has a sustainable impact and continues to inspire others long after the program ends. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Peer2Planet

Peer2Planet is an independent climate education project designed to inspire sustainable lifestyles among students and young people at the University of Zimbabwe and beyond. Through interactive workshops, digital campaigns, and practical challenges, the project simplifies climate solutions—such as energy and water efficiency, waste reduction, and green building principles—into everyday actions peers can adopt. By connecting youth through conversations and collective action, Peer2Planet builds a ripple effect of climate-conscious living.
To Reach at least 100 youth peers through 3 interactive peer-education workshops.
• Facilitate the adoption of 50+ climate-smart habits (e.g., reusable bottles, switching off appliances, tree planting).
• Establish a small network of 10 peer climate ambassadors who will continue climate education beyond December 2025.
• Publish a short impact report & showcase highlighting youth climate actions and testimonials.
