Millennium Fellowship Project: Ladies Salon Project
This project focuses on training ladies in hair plaiting as a way for them to earn a living while gaining a valuable practical skill. The target audience is female teenagers who desire neat and smart plaited hairstyles and are also interested in learning how to plait hair themselves. Through this project, they are taught skills they can use to plait and design their friends’ hair for income. During the Fellowship, I successfully trained several girls in different hair plaiting styles. I also improved my own skills by learning new hair techniques from TikTok videos.
