ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Through this experiences, i will develop practical competencies in cross-cultural collaboration, project implementation, and impact measurement. Working alongside diverse peers will strengthen my ability to design inclusive solutions while navigating complex global challenges. This fellowship will challenge me to grow as both a leader and collaborator, equipping me with tools to create meaningful change within academic institutions and local communities alike. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Healing Paws

The goal of the "Healing Paws" is to provide mental health support for college students by adopting and training kittens and puppies and raising them into comfort dogs or trained pets that are more docile.
Animal adoption and training:
Recruit volunteers to help adopt stray cats and dogs and train them to become docile pets suitable for human interaction.
Train these animals to be comforting dogs to help relieve the anxiety and stress of college students and provide emotional comfort.
Mental Health Studio:
Establish a special mental health studio on campus to provide psychological counselling services and tutor students to relieve academic and life pressure.

About the Millennium Fellow

Muyao Li is a dynamic and ambitious sophomore studying Artificial Intelligence at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Born in the coastal city of Dalian, China, she now thrives in Suzhou, blending technical brilliance with a passion for social advocacy. A dedicated scout in her youth and a compassionate volunteer at nursing homes, Muyao has long championed community service. As Modeling Director of her university's Math Club and President of the Fencing Club, she balances analytical rigor with strategic leadership. An outspoken debater on social issues-particularly women's rights-she combines intellectual fearlessness with collaborative spirit, aiming to shape an equitable future through technology and activism.
