About this opportunity

The initiative brings together visionary young African leaders with German businesses, offering them valuable insights into German corporate culture and business practices. In 2008, 19 German companies, led by Tilman Todenhöfer and supported by former President Horst Köhler, launched AFRIKA KOMMT!, a program aimed at fostering sustainable economic cooperation with African countries. Participants gain technical skills, international experience, and proficiency in the German language, which empowers them as change agents. These fellows contribute to strengthening German-African business relations and promote economic and social growth in their home countries. The program helps build a strong foundation for the future of African leadership and development. Applicants must be citizens of an African country, hold a university degree in a relevant field (with postgraduate qualifications like an MBA being advantageous), and have two to five years of work experience. Proficiency in English is required, while basic knowledge of German is a plus. Candidates should be no older than 35 years at the time of application.

Please consult the host website to confirm these and other details regarding eligibility and deadlines.
