About this opportunity
The Doc Society Climate Story Fund is an initiative dedicated to supporting compelling storytelling and impact strategies that inspire audiences to envision and realize a just transition to a sustainable future. The fund offers grants ranging from $50,000 to $125,000 to support the completion of production for nonfiction projects and to implement impact pilots for completed nonfiction and fiction projects. Since its inception in 2021, the fund has awarded over $4 million to more than 50 projects across diverse geographies, including Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. The fund is open to applicants worldwide, including both new and established artists. Eligible projects include creative nonfiction works such as long-form documentaries, shorts, episodic documentaries, podcasts, and radio documentaries that are in production or completed projects seeking to implement an impact pilot. To qualify for production funding, projects must be completed within one year from the grant award date. For impact funding, projects must implement an impact pilot within one year of receiving the grant. All projects must be climate-themed and intend to engage audiences not typically included in climate conversations.
Please consult the host website to confirm these and other details regarding eligibility and deadlines.
