Obama Foundation Scholars Program

​The Obama Foundation Scholars Program is a leadership development initiative that brings together emerging leaders from around the world who are committed to addressing pressing global challenges. Hosted at Columbia University and the University of Chicago, the program offers a fully-funded, immersive experience designed to enhance participants' skills, expand their networks, and amplify their impact upon returning to their communities. ​ Applicants should be emerging leaders who have made significant contributions in their respective fields and are at a pivotal point in their careers. A proven commitment to public service and leadership within one's community, region, or country is essential. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Candidates must demonstrate values such as humility, integrity, inclusivity, stewardship, fearlessness, imagination, and teamwork. Additionally, applicants should not be engaged in an electoral campaign for political office during the program term. ​
