About this opportunity

The Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF), initiated by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth (SDSN Youth), is a 10-month program designed to empower young urban leaders aged 18 to 30. Fellows engage in a structured curriculum that includes monthly deliverables, focusing on understanding urban challenges and developing projects aimed at localizing Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The fellowship emphasizes peer-to-peer learning, connecting participants from over 180 cities across 80 countries, and offers mentorship from industry experts. While the program is unpaid, fellows gain global visibility, access to a vast network of SDG professionals, and opportunities to implement impactful urban solutions. The SDSN Youth Local Pathways Fellowship is open to young leaders aged 18–30 who are passionate about sustainable urban development and the localization of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11). Applicants should have at least one year of academic or professional experience in fields such as urban planning, community development, or advocacy. A well-defined project idea or initiative aligned with SDG 11 is required, along with the ability to commit 4–6 hours per week from February to November 2025. Fluency in English and the local language of the city they represent is essential, as is having a stable internet connection for remote participation.

Please consult the host website to confirm these and other details regarding eligibility and deadlines.
