Project Overview

Justice Reinvented: Empowering Institutions for Peace is a student-led initiative aligned with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and UNAI 8 (Peace and Conflict Resolution). The project strengthens institutional peace at NMIMS Bengaluru by promoting dialogue, collaboration, and actionable change within the campus community. It develops a Peace Charter based on insights from over 50 survey responses and community discussions, outlining measures for a harmonious environment. The initiative also organizes SDG dialogue events to foster collective reflection on global challenges and solutions.

Project Impact

During the Millennium Fellowship, the project Justice Reinvented: Empowering Institutions for Peace promoted peace and justice on the NMIMS Bengaluru campus through a Peace Charter developed from over 50 survey responses and discussions. The team also organized the SDG Dialogue Table Round, engaging more than 40 participants in discussions on SDG 16 and peace-building initiatives. Strong collaboration among students, faculty, and administrators contributed to the project’s success, while challenges such as balancing academic responsibilities and expanding outreach highlighted opportunities for greater future impact.
