Mind Matters
Project Overview
Mind Matters: Empowering Youth Through Mental Health Awareness is a youth-led initiative that promotes understanding and awareness of mental health issues among young people. Originating from the Millennium Fellowship, the project expands its impact by establishing a dedicated youth support club that provides accessible psychological services. Through awareness campaigns and support systems, it aims to reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking behavior, and foster a supportive environment for student well-being.
Project Impact
The project successfully conducted mental health awareness sessions within the university and beyond, creating safe spaces where students felt heard, relaxed, and supported. Positive student feedback highlighted the immediate emotional impact and relevance of these sessions. A key milestone was the launch of the Mind Detox Clinic, providing accessible psychological support for students seeking help. This initiative strengthened mental health awareness on campus while establishing a sustainable support system for student well-being.
