Project Overview
SpeechTrack is a digital bilingual (Arabic–English) screening platform that helps parents, teachers, and speech-language pathologists identify early red flags in preschoolers’ speech and language development. As the first platform of its kind in the region, it is designed to be accessible, culturally relevant, and sustainable, making early detection easier for children in Qatar and the Arab world—because earlier intervention means better outcomes.
Project Impact
During the Millennium Fellowship, I designed and developed SpeechTrack. I gathered evidence-based screening questions and incorporated them into the website to ensure clinical accuracy. I am currently pilot testing with preschoolers to ensure usability and effectiveness, while consulting with professors, professionals, and members of the Arab community to ensure the platform is culturally relevant.
Compared to my initial goals — designing the platform and obtaining expert input — I have successfully made significant progress. What went well was collecting relevant content and structuring it into an accessible, user-friendly platform. Moving forward, continued testing and feedback will help optimize its impact.
