SpeechTrack
Project Overview
SpeechTrack is a digital bilingual (Arabic–English) screening platform that helps parents, teachers, and speech-language pathologists identify early red flags in preschoolers’ speech and language development. As the first platform of its kind in the region, it is designed to be accessible, culturally relevant, and sustainable, making early detection easier for children in Qatar and the Arab world—because earlier intervention means better outcomes.
Project Impact
During the Millennium Fellowship, the project leader designed and developed SpeechTrack by incorporating evidence-based screening questions to ensure clinical accuracy. The platform is currently being pilot tested with preschoolers while feedback is gathered from professors, professionals, and members of the Arab community to ensure usability and cultural relevance. Compared to the initial goals of designing the platform and obtaining expert input, the project made significant progress by developing accessible, user-friendly content, while continued testing and feedback will help strengthen its long-term impact.
