Project Overview
Team Green is an awareness-driven initiative that promotes the importance of sustainable cities and communities among younger generations. The project focuses on educating and inspiring individuals to adopt environmentally responsible behaviors that contribute to healthier, more livable urban spaces. By fostering early awareness and encouraging conscious decision-making, it aims to empower future leaders to support sustainability efforts and advance long-term urban well-being in alignment with global development goals.
Project Impact
During the Millennium Fellowship, Team Green created significant impact by promoting awareness of sustainable cities and communities among young people through both digital and in-person engagement. Through creative online content and interactive school sessions, the project reached over 6,000 individuals, exceeding its outreach expectations. Strategic partnerships supported both digital production and on-ground activities, strengthening the initiative’s reach and effectiveness. Strong teamwork, innovative communication, and active youth participation were key to its success. However, limited funding posed challenges for follow-up initiatives and long-term impact tracking, highlighting areas for future growth and sustainability. After the fellowship this initiative evolved into SuperGen Water, which directly addresses water safety and community resilience.
