Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship

Project Overview

Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship is a two-phase initiative that strengthens women’s skills, confidence, and economic independence. In collaboration with The Citizens Foundation (TCF), the project builds life skills and a sense of purpose among participants. In partnership with Bait ul Barkat, it delivers creative workshops in painting, stitching, and crafts, culminating in an exhibition where participants showcase and sell their products. The initiative advances SDGs 8, 1, 5, and 10, promoting inclusive economic growth.

Project Impact

During the Millennium Fellowship, the project “Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship” created meaningful impact by equipping young women and girls from slum and rural communities with confidence, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills. Through collaborations with The Citizens Foundation and Bait ul Barkat, participants engaged in skill-building workshops and showcased their work in a final exhibition, generating income and visibility. The initiative advanced inclusivity and economic empowerment, while highlighting the need for greater resources and time to scale its impact further.
