Millennium Fellowship Project: Beyond the Grip of War: sustainability of humanitarian and psychosocial aid

Beyond the Grip of War' seeks to evaluate current efforts to provide humanitarian and psychosocial aid to those in need, kickstarting an important conversation around aid sustainability. It aims to provide a platform for discussing actionable goals in developed countries regarding the support of refugees and others affected by war and political unrest. Additionally, the project seeks to underline the importance of adopting sustainable fundraising and aid-giving practices, investigating the significance of local community involvement. Looking at refugee support in the UK and discussing aid provision in countries such as Darfur, Syria and Ukraine, 'Beyond the Grip of War' intends to address health inequity and suggest ways to mitigate traumatic implications of war.

About the Millennium Fellow

Her interest in global health and involvement in the Students for Global Health movement has sparked her passion for tackling health inequities within local communities and across the world.
