" Prevention is better than cure, a fact repeatedly proven, notably in controlling communicable diseases. I firmly believe in this principle and aim to apply it within my community, where many illnesses causing mortality can be prevented.
I am thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to share essential preventive healthcare information and develop the skills needed to make a lasting impact on health and well-being. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child

Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.
