" “Art has the power to inspire change and unite us in our shared humanity.”
The Millennium Fellowship program will help me to connect and work with other
passionate individuals who drive to make a change and share my commitment to work for the betterment of the community. Through this program, I aspire to enhance my skills and work on creative projects that address the issues of our society. And I hope to work together to build a brighter and sustainable future for the world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Chetona
My project will educate girls and women about their own lives and body starting from
teaching them about their basic human rights, providing basic education about their
reproductive health and hygiene, sexual safety, maternal healthcare and other
necessary practical knowledge. We will create a safe network where girls can learn
about their own bodies. There will be no age limit so that women from different phases
of life can come together and share their experiences and knowledge with each other
as well. Through this project, these girls' will get access to mentorship, peer support or
counselling. The main goal of this project is to help girls' navigate through the
challenges caused due to poverty, gender inequality, violence and social stigmas. As
menstrual and reproductive health still carries a huge social stigma in this part of the
world. There are a lot of superstitions revolving women's health which affect their lives still in this day and time. So this project will basically work to spread awareness among people about women's healthcare.
