" Inclusivity and engagement are two of the principals that inspire my volunteering work the most. By participating in this years Millennium Fellowship Cohort, I am hoping to learn how to improve my leadership skills in order to conceptualize and organize student led projects with social impact more effectively. Likewise, I am eagerly awaiting to learn more about the experiences other Millennium Fellows made, as well as gaining new insights from professionals from all over the world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Law Summer School
The Climate Law Summer School is a project, started by students at Bucerius
Law School years ago, targeting German speaking Law Students and trying to
help them find their way in climate law in order to help Germany become more
sustainable in the future. The pilot has started this summer and since autumn of
this year, the University has officially taken on the project and will continue the
work for at least three more years. The students will continue to participate in
building the project, by advising the university, helping out in marketing and giving
feedback for the curriculum. The project aims to support SDG 13.
About the Millennium Fellow
Inga Nowoczin is an ambitious second year law student at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. Studying the law, it is important to her to live in a world in which everybody has the same rights and chances. So far, she hasn’t found her one passion yet, when it comes to volunteering, rather, she enjoys exploring different fields of social impact. Examples include helping at a workplace for disabled people and working at a girls’ shelter in the Amazon rainforest. Recently she became a board member of the advocacy group for female students in law at her university. Being a Millennium Fellow, Inga strives to learn more about the implications of social impact work.
