" "The Millennium Fellowship will empower me to bridge my STEM and research background with humanitarian work, allowing me to finally act on my beliefs about the importance of public health education. I look forward to using the fellowship to enhance my leadership and problem-solving skills in an applied way so I can create lasting change in Atlanta and beyond." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Promoting Public Health Literacy
My project focused on promoting public health literacy. I accomplished this by disseminating media such as infographics, comics, and articles about how vaccines work and organizing three events where I spoke to high schoolers about the importance of proper public health practices.
