" "A simple conversation can make a world of difference. Patients in low-income communities often struggle with consistent care, but fostering open, low-stress communication between them and their physicians could prevent many health issues before they arise. By creating a forum for these conversations and health education, we empower patients to take control of their own health, equipping them with the knowledge to better manage their conditions." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Chat for Change

At Chat for Change, we organize events once a month where uninsured Atlanta residents can receive information about ongoing health concerns and gain insights into disease prevention from medical professionals. Participants can also undergo checks for vital indicators like blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and blood sugar level. CFC also brings local mobile clinics to events to provide additional free medical services to attendees like HIV screenings, flu vaccinations, or diabetes screenings.
