United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" Optimism, creativity as well as critical thinking are My uttermost artistic motives behind everything I do. My passion is to invest in the mental welfare of any child regardless of his/ her background or any abilities or disabilities. I believe that there is always a brighter future for every child as long as she/he is well taken care of. Being part of Millennium Fellowship will enhance these skills, as well as provide me with other new skills that will foster my social impact to be more realistic and aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Joolvey
It's a project that aims at creating a safe, accessible, inclusive, and cultural sensitive digital space ( JOOLVEY website and App that will be accessible in different African local languages apart from English and French) where individuals with mental health issues, can seek help and share experience without stigma.
It will provide online services like mental health self- diagnosis tools, therapeutic games for children and teenagers with mental health problems especially autistic ones, psychiatric hospital tracker tools for mapping nearby help, online booking for appointments with mental health professionals, E- therapy ( where individuals can directly talk to psychologist online via JOOLVEY app and JOOLVEY website. It will also provide different education materials about mental health, and online supportive community where people can chart anonymously and help one another. It will also allow people to access to personal online diary and journal, where they will be able to write and keep the recording of whatever is bothering them mentally as stress relieving strategy.
About the Millennium Fellow
NIYIGENA Aimee Joyeuse is a young bright optimistic, resilient philanthropist, and globally competitive Biochemistry student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
She is Rwandan and resides in Kigali but currently, she lives in Ghana where she is studying BSc. Biochemistry. As life is all about the choices we make, she has chosen to be the voice of positive thoughts.
Apart from that, she is a real citizen of the world, she is passionate about making the world a better place, by spreading love and reminding people that there is still hope for their dormant Stars to shine and that the absence of the moon in daylight doesn’t mean it is dead, but means that there is always the right time for every star to shine.
Back in her high school, she successfully organized and participated in different charity projects in different parts of Kigali, and because of her exceptional leadership experience she never saw herself quitting on that religion of humanity. Aimee Joyeuse aspires to have a professional career. where she can expand the borders of her philanthropic activities, and make a particular contribution towards the United Nations’ sustainable goals.
