United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Take Control

TAKE CONTROL IS A PROJECT AIMED AT IMPACTING YOUTHS AND YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 13-26 WITH LEADERSHIP SKILLS .THE PROJECT INVOLVES TRAINING YOUTHS ON DIFFERENT LEADERSHIP SKILLS ,VALUE BASED LEADERSHIP ADVOCATING FOR HONEST LEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCING POLICIES ,THROUGH TRAINING ,MENTORSHIP WORKSHOPS AND COMMUNITY SENSITIZATION .

About the Millennium Fellow

Api Joseph is a community development champion studying at mount kenya university pursuing bachelor's degree in community development. Api was born in mathare slum in Nairobi kenya .being a slum coded area Api and his family struggled to aquire social anemities such a quality health services,quality education ,they faced several social and political injustices .Api have strong belief and faith that by him accomplish his dreams he will be able to lead his community towards realising their potential and initiating community sustainable development projects .Api want to promote community capacity building and empower community members to be able to have a voice to speak for their rights.
