" I am passionate about mental health because I believe that every mind matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and every person deserves to live a life free from stigma and filled with hope, support, and understanding, by supporting each others wellbeing we can create a more compassionate, resilient and vibrant world. I am excited to be a millennium fellow because I know it will be a great learning platform for me and meeting great minds that share similar values and beliefs. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Break The Silence

Mental health issues affect millions of people worldwide, yet stigma, lack of awareness, and inadequate resources hinder access to care. As a Millennium Fellow, I aim to tackle these challenges through "BREAK THE SILENCE," a community-driven initiative promoting mental well-being and resilience.

About the Millennium Fellow

Rhodrick Moono is a dedicated and hardworking medical student at Mulungushi University. He was born in Zambia and still resides there; definitely a patriotic citizen. Over the past few years he has been through rejection and failure which saw him hit rock bottom both mentally and socially, it is due to this that he has now become a strong advocate for mental health programs in his society, over the past year he has been helping people that have been going through similar things to what he has been through, and he wishes to continue to raise up those that have fallen over this under appreciated topic of mental health, he wants to encourage others to do the same on larger magnitude and probably add to the values and development of the United Nations and help reach its goals.
