" I am thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe that collective action can
spark transformative change. As the founder of Bencycle Waste Recycling Company, I am eager to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passion for sustainable development. Meeting people with diverse perspectives and ideas will not only enrich my understanding of the wicked issues surrounding waste management but also provide valuable insights to enhance my company's innovative solutions. Through collaboration and knowledge-sharing, I envision Bencycle becoming a catalyst
for community-driven initiatives that promote responsible consumption and
production, ultimately creating a more sustainable future for all. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Waste Picking on Campus.

The Waste Picking on Campus project aims to promote environmental sustainability and cleanliness within the university community. As a Millennium Fellow, I embarked on this initiative to address the pressing issue of waste management on campus.
Through this project, I organised waste picking activities and engaged fellow students in the collection and disposal of recyclable and non-recyclable waste. By doing so, we not only beautified our campus but also raised awareness about the importance of proper waste disposal and its impact on our environment.
My Objectives for carrying out this project include:
1. Reduce litter and waste on campus
2. Promote environmental awareness and education
3. Foster a sense of community and social responsibility among students
4. Contribute to the development of sustainable waste management practices on campus
On the 7th of November, I was able to carry out my millennium Fellowship Project titled "waste picking on campus ". I executed this with the number of volunteers of 10 people who are also passionate about the cleanliness of the campus environment, and we picked picked waste on campus to fill more than 11 wastes bags which afterwards were properly disposed in the waste house provided by the university management. By implementing this project, I hope to inspire a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship within my university community, ultimately contributing to a cleaner, greener campus for all.
