Millennium Fellowship Project: Save Lahore From Smog

The "Save Lahore from Smog" project is a dedicated effort to address the alarming rise of smog in Lahore, which poses significant risks to public health, the environment, and the city’s economy. Smog, primarily caused by industrial emissions, vehicular pollution, and crop residue burning, has led to deteriorating air quality, respiratory diseases, and reduced visibility, affecting millions of residents.
This project aims to mitigate smog by implementing measures such as:
Promoting clean energy alternatives and stricter industrial emission controls.
Enhancing public transportation and encouraging the use of electric vehicles.
Raising public awareness about sustainable practices and discouraging crop burning.
Introducing urban greening initiatives, such as planting trees and developing green belts to improve air filtration.
The project’s vision is to create a healthier, more livable Lahore while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. By reducing smog levels, it ensures better health outcomes, supports economic resilience, and paves the way for a sustainable urban future.
