" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because the fellowship's mission aligns with my determination for serving both local and global communities. This drive to make a difference fuels my journey toward becoming a change agent in public health. As a future epidemiologist, I am committed to promoting good science to advocate for those facing daily health disparities. Embracing the UNAI principles, such as advocating for human rights, will help me grow as a leader and strengthen my impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Service Within The Sisterhood Project

The "Service Within the Sisterhood" Project is a monthly community service day sponsored by the Bonner Office of Civic Engagement (Spelman College's civic engagement office) and Sustainable Spelman Office. Each month, Spelman students will be able to engage in meaningful community service opportunities both on and off campus, addressing pressing social issues. Students work to tackle challenges such as food insecurity, homelessness, educational disadvantages, and more. This campus-wide initiative not only enhances civic engagement but also strengthens bonds of sisterhood within the college and with the surrounding communities.
