" My passion for healthcare accessibility, especially in underserved regions like Africa, drives my work in pharmacy and global health. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will allow me to collaborate with like-minded individuals to address healthcare disparities. The skills and experiences I gain from this fellowship will empower me to make a more profound impact on global health initiatives, ensuring that everyone, regardless of location, has access to quality healthcare. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health; A Pillar to Life

"Mental Health; A Pillar to Life" is an initiative aimed at tackling the stigma and inadequate resources surrounding mental health, especially in communities where spiritual beliefs overshadow psychological care. Recognizing the lack of mental health facilities and trained professionals, this project focuses on raising awareness and promoting culturally sensitive mental health education to shift public perception and dismantle barriers to seeking help. Inspired by personal experiences, the initiative advocates for the reallocation of resources to ensure accessible and comprehensive mental health services. Through community-driven efforts, "Mental Health; A Pillar to Life" seeks to empower individuals to prioritize mental well-being, fostering an environment where seeking support is both normalized and encouraged, contributing to a healthier, more supportive society.
